Refer to the exhibit. Which statement correctly describes how Router1 processes an FTP request that enters interface s0/0/0 and is destined for an FTP server at IP address 192.168.1.5?

The router matches the incoming packet to the statement that was created by the access-list 201 deny icmp 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 any command, continues comparing the packet to the remaining statements in ACL 201 to ensure that no subsequent statements allow FTP, and then the router drops the packet.

The router reaches the end of ACL 101 without matching a condition and drops the packet because there is no statement that was created by the access-list 101 permit ip any any command.

The router matches the incoming packet to the statement that was created by the access-list 101 permit ip any 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 command and allows the packet into the router.

It matches the incoming packet to the statement that was created by the access-list 201 permit ip any any command and allows the packet into the router.

at q 13 the answers are:” They are assigned to a host by a stateless autoconfiguration process” and “they begin with the FE80::/10 prefix”.

    • adam says:

The following is a paragraph from the cisco curriculam the answer is corret.

“The current global unicast address that is assigned by the IANA uses the range of addresses that start with binary value 001 (2000::/3), which is 1/8 of the total IPv6 address space and is the largest block of assigned addresses. The IANA is allocating the IPv6 address space in the ranges of 2001::/16 to the five RIR registries (ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC, and AfriNIC). “

      • Jane says:

Alinio is correct. The question is referring to a LOCAL address. The Global unicast address is given to the ISP by IANA and uses a different range.

      • Martin says:

Its asking for the link local addresses specifically which are part of the Private addresses so Alinio is Correct…. These are like the 169.254 subnet in ipv4… IANA aint responsible for them

Hi everyone, Q13 is asking about “Which two statements are true about “IPv6 link local addresses?” IPv6 link local = http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/ipv6/configuration/guide/ip6-addrg_bsc_con.html#wp1038809

        Link-Local Address

A link-local address is an IPv6 unicast address that can be automatically configured on any interface using the link-local prefix FE80::/10 (1111 1110 10) and the interface identifier in the modified EUI-64 format. Link-local addresses are used in the neighbor discovery protocol and the stateless autoconfiguration process. Nodes on a local link can use link-local addresses to communicate; the nodes do not need globally unique addresses to communicate. Figure 2 shows the structure of a link-local address.

        Correct answers:
They begin with the FE80::/10 prefix
They are assigned to a host by a stateless autoconfiguration process.

For Standard ACL’s, the best practice is to apply it nearest to the destination. In this case we need only to create an ACL statement on S0/0/0 that will block internet traffic. No need to create another ACL statement to allow traffic for both sides of the LAN to communicate since it will happen obviously without the need for ACL’s. Correct me if I’m wrong.

More clients share a connection to the DSLAM on the West side.
Because more clients share at the same time, also make the download slower.

    • WillyM says:

I think the “Cisco answer” will emphasize distance to Central Office/POP; consistently lower bw the further away you are. DSLAM capacity issue may be intermittent.

    • Quad says:

Yes I think this is the right answer. Multiple users being concentrated by DSLAM is a much more closer answer than the distance issue.

      • xyz says:

The transfer rates are dependent on the actual length of the local loop, and the type and condition of its cabling. For satisfactory service, the loop must be less than 5.5 kilometers (3.5 miles).

        • Zzz says:

Both location have the same service plan for DSL service! So correct answer is: The West side of town is downloading larger packets.

No 48 is wrong. The answer is “faulty NIC in the web server”

  17. hmn91 says:

Is #15 correct? I think it should be “failure to connect due to incomplete configuration for Telnet”. I have try it on Packet Tracer, and the Connection is closed instantly.

    • jose says:

I remember the IOS showing a message that says the login can’t be set until a password is specified

    • Warren says:

      I read it like this:

The first vty (0) would work since it has a password and the login statement. vty 1-4 would not allow a login since there is no password.
So if he is the only connection it is probably successful. If someone else was already in then it would fail.

  18. Marc says:

    The correct answer of

“13. Which two statements are true about IPv6 link local addresses?”

    is:

They begin with the FE80::/10 prefix.

They are assigned to a host by a stateless autoconfiguration process.

  19. INGXEXAR says:

    Q3. Answer is wrong.
A password recovery process should be done on this router.

    • Mat says:

Refer to the exhibit. Every time the administrator reboots this router, the boot process ends in setup mode. What is a possible problem?

The admin reboots the router… how is a password recovery going to fix this?

      • anuarus says:

is is asking about the current problem on screen, not the future solution, read the question carefully, because cisco has a fame for making this much more complex, than what they are, the correct answer is asking you to identify the problem, not yet in the fixing stages so yeah the startup-config is been ignored, and then a password recovery process has to be done on the router to access and view the configurations so the answer is correct..

Q30. question 30 is wrong, feedback after exam say answer is unplugged cable

Refer to the exhibit. This serial interface is not functioning correctly. Based on the output shown, what is the most likely cause?

    improper LMI type

    interface reset

    PPP negotiation failure

    unplugged cable

    • seba says:

can’t be unplugged cable because the link is UP, only the protocol is down.

      • Veriuxus says:

“unplugged cable” could be the right answer. The link is up on the router. The protocol down means something else is wrong in the other side. If you put a wrong cable, it does not matter the protocol is right you are still not having any connection until you check your cable is correct and connected.
